GW4 series isolating switch is an outdoor high-voltage switchgear widely used in power systems, mainly for voltage isolation and safety protection during electrical maintenance.
The GW4 series, with its modular design and high reliability, has become a core component for ensuring electrical safety in power plants and substations, especially suitable for scenarios that require frequent operation.
| Rated voltage | 12kV |
| Rated lightning impulse voltage (peak value) | To earth:95kV Across the isolating:105kV |
| 1 min rated power frequency voltage(virtual value) | To earth:45KV Across the isolating:50kV |
| Insulator creepage distance ratio | ≥3.1cm/kV(IV Level pollution area) |
| Rated current | 630/1250/1600/2000/2500/3150A |
| (4S)Rated short circuit current | 20kA/31.5kA/40kA |
| Rated current peak tolerance | 40kA |
| Across the isolating distance | 170mm |
| Phase to phase distance | 450mm |
It needs to be used in conjunction with high-voltage circuit breakers, only for isolating voltage, does not have arc extinguishing capability, and cannot break load current or short-circuit current.
The operation sequence follows principle 2 of "disconnect the circuit breaker before power outage, and close the isolation switch before power transmission".
The rated voltage covers 12kV to 252kV (different models correspond to different voltage levels), suitable for three-phase AC 50Hz power systems.
Supports indoor/outdoor installation, suitable for Class III and IV polluted environments and high-altitude areas (up to 4000m)
