Wind-induced flashover of transmission lines has always been a global challenge that plagues the safe and stable operation of power grids, especially in coastal areas prone to typhoons and regions with frequent severe convective weather. Traditional insulators are prone to significant swinging under strong winds, leading to insufficient air gap between the conductor and the tower, which can trigger discharge and tripping accidents. Furthermore, the success rate of reclosing is low, causing significant losses to the national economy.
The 220kV and 500kV wind-resistant insulators submitted for inspection are new products developed by our company based on years of technical accumulation and market research. The products utilize high-performance silicone rubber composite sheds and an integrated injection vulcanization molding process, providing excellent resistance to pollution flashover. The core technology lies in optimizing the hardware connection structure and core rod material, transforming the traditional "swinging" connection into a rigid support or limiting structure. This effectively restricts the wind-induced sway of the insulator string under strong winds, ensuring that the conductor maintains a sufficient electrical safety distance from the tower body in high-wind environments. Type testing is the most crucial step in verifying whether a product design meets technical specifications, encompassing multiple dimensions such as electrical performance, mechanical performance, and material aging. In this test, our company's products successfully passed rigorous project assessments, including the deflection test under 50% of the rated bending load, dry/wet power frequency withstand voltage test, and lightning impulse withstand voltage test.
